Getting Started with Office 365

Midlands Technical College provides free access to Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other office programs. Use it for creating basic MLA or APA style papers, simple PowerPoint presentations, or plain Excel spreadsheets. Microsoft Access is not included in this software suite.

  1. Go to your MyMTC
  2. Navigate to your student email. Click on the Office365 link right under your unread messages.

  3. Click on the nine square icon on the top left corner of the screen.

  4. At the drop-down menu, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and a few other programs will be listed there. Select the desired program, and the software will open in your browser. The look and feel will be similar to the full version of Office 2016.

If you need to save a copy to your flash drive, click on the file tab located in the top left corner of your document and click "Save As". Then click "Download a Copy".
